About Me

I was born in Virginia, grew up in central Illinois, and spent most of my adult life in Florida and Georgia. Given the maternal side of my family tree is rooted in the Deep South, I will always proudly consider myself a Southerner, regardless of where I live! My favorite pastimes are collecting fossils, traveling, running, photography, studying horse racing history, and hanging out at the racetrack.

Nowadays, I post most of my photos in Facebook and Flickr, so I've removed the old family photo albums that used to appear on this page of my website (click here to view). To see my public horse racing photos, click on one of the links below.

Rare Form (by The Factor), a 3-year-old colt that is "on loan" from Spendthrift Farm to the Churchill Downs Racing Club.
He is trained by Dale Romans, who won the 2012 Eclipse Award for Outstanding Trainer.
