Pterynotus hoerlei

Welcome to my Web Site on Fossil Muricidae!

I have been collecting fossil Muricidae since 1989, and currently have roughly 400 distinct species from 35 different countries and 10 U.S. states.  Most of my figured species from Florida are self-collected. I am constantly looking for new species (and improved quality specimens) from around the world, so if you can help out in any way, please let me know!  I would also appreciate any corrections or clarifications that you can provide concerning the identification or geographic / geologic range of any of the species listed here.  As time goes by, I will be adding more photos, links, and other information to this site.  Thanks for visiting!
